You can almost see it from I-5, the first Wind Turbine installed on a Multi Family building in Washington State History. Thanks to the hard work and perseverance of the City of Seattle City Council members and the Mayor, who worked with Northwest Windpower and its team to get this important zoning code passed. The project is an 8 unit town home project, built by Gary Noyes, a successful builder/developer in Washington State. Electrical work was completed by AMC Electric, and Lightening Electric. |

Paine Field Airport, 3008 SW 100th St. Everett, WA 98204. |
Located on the upper tower of the Tyee building, now occupied by the Aerospace Futures Alliance and Aerospace Technical Training Center, is the V200 Energy Ball. Total elevation above ground is 51 Feet, and completely ballasted, non penetrating, rated for up to 100 MPH. The video shows this turbine spinning quite fast even at 5 mph. The total annual production is estimated to be 9-12,000 KW. Photo was taken just before the electrical was completed, which is explains why its still tied off with rope. Installed on May 28, 2010. |
